1. Information We Collect

IPL Predict does not require account registration. We collect minimal data to operate the service: your vote and prediction choices (associated with an anonymous session ID stored in your browser's localStorage), approximate geographic region (for analytics), and anonymous usage data via cookies. We do NOT collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily enter a display name for the leaderboard — which can be any nickname.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your anonymous vote and prediction data is used solely to display poll results and power the leaderboard feature. We use aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand which matches attract the most engagement. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as required by law.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your votes and session ID so you don't vote twice. We may use cookies for basic analytics (Google Analytics). You can clear your browser data at any time to reset this. We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements, which may use cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Google (AdSense, Analytics). Each of these services has their own privacy policies. Affiliate links to Dream11 and MPL are marked as such. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous vote and prediction records are retained for the duration of the IPL 2026 season (March 28 – May 31, 2026) and may be retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes. Display names chosen for the leaderboard are public and associated with prediction accuracy scores.

6. Children's Privacy

IPL Predict is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us.
